Hello, my name is Doug Darga, and YES, we get to spend our days taking care of private and commercial gardens on this breathtaking spot in Northern Michigan – Mackinac Island. It is a dream come true to be the owner of Mackinac Landscape and Garden, LLC based on one of the world’s premier summer vacation destinations.
Mackinac Landscape and Garden is responsible for the annual planting and maintenance of thousands of flats of flowers. We handle complete landscape installations, and specialize in innovative annual displays in garden beds, containers, and window boxes. Because of the complete motor vehicle ban on Mackinac Island, all of our landscape construction must be done without the use of trucks and machinery. Plants and materials are brought to the Island by boat and moved on location by horse and bike power. Our offerings don’t stop at beautiful gardens, please inquire about our garden structures, patio and sidewalks, irritation systems and lighting for your outdoor living spaces!
